your BRA guide

Untitled #43

You know, recently, bras have became an obsession. Literally. Never have I cared for bras. Don't have boobs (well, tiny ones), so I never really cared for them. They just seemed so unnecessary, until recently. All I want to do is buy cool bras and wear button ups unbutton real low. And it doesn't even matter -for me- because my boobs are small, so it looks totally appropriate.

Anyway, here is a little guide on my must haves or the coolest ones:

Top Row: The Nude Label, MSGM, Love & Lemons
Middle Row: Calvin Klein, Free People, Topshop
Bottom Row: Cosabella, Samantha Chang, Victoria Secret

Coat check

Coat check

Guys, I kinda sound like a broken record BUT I- like the majority of fashion lovers- looove Fall. It's the perfect time of year.  Holidays are near, pumpkin spice, peppermint, gingerbread lattes, cool weather, layers of clothing, not to mention the hunt for the perfect coat. Which mind you, I've been looking for the perfect one for years. I always push it off by buying other things. Unfortunately I cant have it all... yet.

Anyway, all these coats are on my wish list. All for different reasons.
Topshop: well...it's necessary. The perfect color, looks elegant, and this color on a coat looks expense! Right?
Finder Keepers: need I really say more???
Madewell: the most perfect military coat I've ever laid eyes on. The zippers, mid-high collar, the contrast. Literally makes my knees weak.
Loose Candy: my favorite color. Plus, this forest green is an "it" color for fall.
Rag & Bone: pattern to elevate any outfit. I can see myself wearing all black underneath and then boom - pattern!
Awww and finally, the Investment piece, the black coat. The Row: not because my favorite sisters of all time are the designers but because it's a timeless and classic piece. You could literally pass it down for generations. And if you don't but any other coat ever, you'll be set forever w just this one!

#MyVegasStyle

#MyVegasStyle

Although I may not be going to Las Vegas anytime soon, this is something I would totally wear to hang out at Aria Hotel. Here's why, a low plunge romper could easily take your fit from day to night. Just switch up a few accessories and go. Plus a low plunge is sexy, and LV is a place to be your sexiest.

Now typically when  think of Vegas I think twwweeerk all day, right? However, in efforts to really indulge in the luxuries of Las Vegas, more so Aria Hotel, I decided to stay away from the pool during the day so I can twwerk at night.

Day Look:
Romper without the jacket, Gladiator sandals or sneakers (if your going to do excessive walking), shades, bag, and call it a day! The total look is relaxed, put together, and most importantly...sexy.
Wake up head to the Spa, then shopping, then lunch, then possibly day drinking. Head to the room for a quick accessory change.

Night Look:
Romper with the jacket, strappy heels, the sexiest of undies (wink, wink), bag and a red lip. MAJOR!
On my way to dinner at Javier's and then off for drinks at Deuce Lounge.

I'm telling you, that low 'p' is everything!

currently into

Untitled #38

Well its about that time again!! When I share  all the things I'm currently into. Although you might not give two damns, here it goes. Ready? Wait...as a reminder- I am one of those people that get really into things, like hardcore phaser. Ok, ready?
  1. San Francisco: I've always said I could never live in SF and only liked the city to go get my latest fashions. BUT everything has changed. I now find myself desperately wanting to be a resident. Amazing atmosphere all around.
  2. Canvas totes: Well these Sincerely Jules totes are pretty freaking amazing. I could use them to go shopping in SF, since the charge per shopping bag. Plus it's a cool way to wear a printed bag.
  3. White T-shirts: I literally only have ONE white t-shirt in my wardrobe. And I came to the realization that 1) I'm such an unprofessional fashionee and 2) they are the most essential colored t-shirts to own. I mean, pair it with a cool bra underneath and be fabulous. Let's not forget american classic: white T w/ jeans- hi amazing!
  4. Hand Lotion: Usually I only use one lotion for my entire body [well, neck down]. Recently I started getting a little fancier using hand lotion. Totally makes a difference, hands feel baby bottom soft.
  5. Beyoncé: NO explanation needed-right? Surfboard. Mine. Flawless. Right?
  6. Slip-ons: A shoe that can actually show off cool prints. No shoe lace or weird cut-outs to to distract from the actual print.
What are you into?

currently into

Untitled #37

Every now and then I get into this creepy mood when I'm into everything. It's pretty hardcore actually. This one time I was really into coconut. So I would buy everything coconut; body wash, cooking oil, milk, coffee flavoring, candles, lip balm. I mean thank god there was no coconut scented tampons, or is there? What I'm trying to say is, I want to share my currently into's with...(drumroll please) YOU!

I worked really hard to sort out things that are literally on my mind before I go to bed and when I wake up. I broke it down to 6. From now on- maybe bi-weeekly- I will post my top 6. It's going to be a good time I promise. Well at least for me. Now the list is not in hierarchy order. I'm just a list freak. So Drake is not my number one! Or is he? Jk I live with my number one (blushing face).

  1. Drake: 'Nothing was the same' didn't blow my mind at first THEN after some time its on repeat. Thanks sister for pushing this album on me. It's blowing my mind now.
  2. ManRepeller: Where to begin. I mean 1) she dresses amazing! 2) she's hilarious 3) her collaborations are insane 4) she lives in NY 5) she doesn't give a shit what people think of her.
  3. Nike:  I have nothing other than, they are pretty freakin' amazing! The color combo is everything. The sole is beyond. Basically I need them.
  4. Bumble and Bumble: I can vouch these give big volumuness hair. I have gone into Sephora numerous times to sample these items in particular to make sure they do what they say.  They are products of their word. (I have yet to buy them).
  5. Juicing: Let me start by saying that there is only 3 types of liquid I drink (seriously) water, coffee, and wine. One day at work my coworker walked in with a creepy looking drink in a bottle. Obviously I asked what the hell it was, she said pressed juice- ? - I was amazed. She explained the benefits, she got me at skin! Ever since then I juice 2-3 per week at my local Nugget grocery store. Juicing is basically pressed veggies/fruit turned into juice.
  6. Janessa Leone: I have one weird looking forever 21 hat, I wear constantly. But its shape was gone in less than weeks. Since I'm a firm believer in the-more-expensive-the-better-the-quality. I REALLY want a Janessa Leone hat. Plus she specializes in hat making. Soooo.....I need one.

Eye Candy

SOPHIA WEBSTER

I kid you not when I say my mind was blown the moment I saw these shoes on Instagram.
It was like I had an out of body experience,  nothing I ever felt before. Every night after our first encounter I've had sleepless nights making numerous outfits in my head. Or thinking of a scheme so I can actually buy them (or one, the very least). At one point I felt hopeless; I had nothing, no brilliant scheme, no investing money for shoes, literally nothing. It was like Sophia Webster was slipping right through my fingers. Although I still don't own a pair yet, I will eventually. In the mean time I frantically check the internet on a daily basis for no clear reason. Often I try to use reverse psychology on myself telling myself that if I had them I probably wouldn't even use them. It didn't work. What I am trying to say is that these shoes are everything and without them I am nothing. So I need them.

Sophia Webster is a pure genius and magician! Her shoes are master pieces that should be put in an art museum so no one could wear them and potentially ruin them. And if I cant have them no one should, muah-ha-ha!  I'm joking that would be the stupidest idea ever. Sophia's (we are on a first name basis, given the amount of times I visit her site per day) shoes are meant to be seen by the world. Therefore women/ I should wear them to EVERYWHERE including long walks on the beach days.

Fun story, in my desperation of needing these shoes, I considered pimping out my boyfriend.
I have a friend who is a gay male who happens to love my boyfriend. He made a monetary offer to us... mostly me. It entailed my boyfriend going with my friend to a gay bar. He would only need to show up with him, hang out for a few minutes, and go. All my friend wanted was to make people jealous. Simple right? And at the end of the day I was doing a good deed. PLUS I was willing to give my boyfriend 10%!!! As it turns out my boyfriend rejected our offer, didn't talk to me for a few hours- because he thought I was seriously considering it- and now believes I will put shoes before our relationship. The nerve he had to say something like that to me or even think it!
Anyway fun story huh?

let's go there.

Loeffler Randall

Can we go there? I mean where else would we go right? If you're confused as to where I am going with this, I'm talking 'it' designer Loeffler Randall. Mesmerizing stuff.
I stumbled upon this stuff a while back and since then been eyeing well... everything! Every single piece seems to be perfectly crafted with an impeccable structure. Simple with amazing details. Just beyond amazing. The 'Octavia' high top sneaker, 'Fenton Buckle' bootie, and the 'Locker' tote bag are seriously the death of me and the apple of my eyes! I find myself constantly checking the site just to make sure my TOP items aren't sold out! Pathetic, I know. It's only because I haven't been able to pull the trigger, not by choice.

I must admit the Octavia's didn't turn my head twice. But like I mentioned before I constantly check the site. So after a few visits I started to play a scenario in my head. Picture it, I'm walking down the street in a cool lil' sweater dress (obsessed with them, btw) and some rad/badass lookin' sneakers. Um... hi my name is 'cool'. For sure turning heads in these bad boys. Maybe it's the funky prints or the boyish looking structure. Whatever the reason, I'm head over heels! As the scenario played on I added a bag. Which bags are not really my thing but the color combo and structure of this bag screamed elegant/edgy/fantastic. Then I thought how amazing it would be to have matching boots. Dorky, maybe even a little outdated, but I don't give a s**t. The scenario in my head was too cool to think about the 'dorky/outdated' consequences.

Of course I could go on about the rest of my scene but I wont go there. Instead I'll let you be but make sure to stop by again soon!

men: style diploma

mens watches

Men, for a very long time I considered your style umm... effortless (literally). When I was younger I always thought how easy it was to be a guy. Everything is so easy for you guys. You dont have to worry about female problems, emotional issues, gossip, and styling with tons of elements.
See, I thought it was easy for you because we as women have to think about EVERYTHING when we get ready! The hair,  make-up, clothing, shoes, bags, jewels, etc. But then after much thought and rationalization I realized you may have it harder. Since you have less distracting elements you have to get every single detail of your outfit right. Do you feel the pressure? Do you?

One piece I tend to pay the most, if not all, attention to is men watches. Wearing a watch with your fit instantly adds a huge oomph. A cool man vibe, if I must say. A diploma for your style graduation.
But again, you have to get it right. I cant really deal when men are wearing dress watches with a casual outfit. Leather and rubber bands are more appropriate for casual looks. If styled right MAYBE a metal watch. So in other words; own two watches! One for causal wear and a formal type.

let's get graphic

graphic

Graphic tees are slowly but surely becoming my favorite. I am not sure if it's because I'm getting lazier or maybe because my work requires I dress professional/business casual. BOR-ing! On my days off you can almost guarantee you'll catch me in a t-shirt.

Dressing up a t-shirt is my favorite thing to do. I recommend that you pile on the necklace's; wear a skirt (preferably mini, maybe w sparkle); layer with a pattern blazer, kimono, camo jacket, etc.
OR if you have a dress that you no longer wear, bring it back to life with a tee.
Either wear a tee underneath OR over it!

I have to say that the Brandy Melville 'Donut' tee is my favorite! The moment I saw it, which mind you, was at work on a customer! I literally stopped her opened up her cardi to see the full stack! Ugh I died!

Investment, fall edition.

Untitled #32

I am one of those firm believers in investing. Taking a portion of your money and putting it into something that will benefit you is a no brainer. Of course everyone has their own ideology of investment. Some people like to invest their money in stock, plants, technology, but for me- and maybe for you- fashion is an investment. A well worth investment if you ask me. Putting your money into certain pieces of your wardrobe is the difference between looking average and really making a statement. Now I am not saying you go out and spend thousands on booties or millions on a bag. I am suggesting that you write down a few pieces that you know you always wear then go for it; spend a little more than usual. Remember the saying "quality over quantity". Repeat this mantra when shopping items on your list.

I narrowed down to six items worth investing in for fall.
1. Leather jacket (Alexander Wang): Endless outfits, always a go-to item in everyones closet. It will literally save you from any fit drama. The buttery the leather the better the wear.
2. Cool blazer (Rag & Bone): Of course a black blazer is extremely versatile but it's also safe. I strongly recommend you invest in a cool tweed or printed blazer. Be adventurous. Your outfits automatically make a statement w/ a cool blazer.
3. Military jacket (Rag & Bone): The military jacket plays no favorites with the seasons. This is one jacket that transitions smoothly; fall to winter, winter to spring, etc. MUST.
4. Classic black bootie (Rag & Bone): a black pair of booties is as necessary, if not more, than a little black dress.
5. Clutch (Balenciaga): a beautiful clutch that you can wear day or night is worth it.
6. Leather pants (Alice and Olivia): a good ol pair of leather pants is crucial. I feel like now until forever they will be in style. Therefore invest in a good pair.

Of course you also need other stuff like a wallet, purse, little black dress.
Happy Weekend xoxo.

all black date night

Untitled #31

There is something so amazingly Kanye West about wearing all black. Even if your not a Kanye fan you have to admit his style is sick. But this isn't about looking like Kanye, it's about looking like a chic-badass couple. Power couple, to say the least. This will totally work if your going on a date, just call to coordinate outfits. It might be awkward if its a first date, but if he or she doesn't agree, cancel the date. They have no sense of style and are not that into you nor should you be into them.

Seriously, for some reason I now affiliate the color black as extremely fashionable.
Don't ask why, I don't know why, it just happened.
And I have been buying hella black. Perhaps due to the idea that it's chic. I blame pinterest, streetstyle pins.

Now the idea is to keep it simple, sleek, and chic. Chic also works for men. Remember the saying "less is more" it was intended for this outfit. Do not over accessorize.
Maybe easier for men to understand this. Only because they don't have to deal with jewelry, makeup, purses, hair, etc.
Wear fitted items, the only item that should  be kinda loose is tops, this is for both men and women.
Hope you guys enjoy your weekend!

Random Fact: I'm getting into rap music, I have no idea what they are rapping about, I just like the beat : The Game, "See no evil"

cool summer color: white

summer time

Staying cool in summer is probably one of the hardest things for me to do. I'm also really annoying to hang out with. I complain nonstop, even when in air conditioned areas. Perhaps it's a mental thing. I just can't deal. So layering my clothes is not even an option or even dressing in dark colors. Wearing all WHTE is my go to. White is scary for a lot of people. They say; "I cant wear white, I get dirty fast", "it makes me look big", etc. All I gotta say is TRY IT!!!! Your mind will blow at how fresh, crisp, clean you look and feel. Above are some fit ideas to stay fresh for this intense/insane heat weave!

Stay Cool!!!

statement piece

perfect skirt

Every now and then I buy something that I wear so much it starts falling apart (not literally).
This Zara skirt... oh man... I have already created countless outfits.
Although I am still waiting for Fedex "the magician" to appear in my front door w/ my package,
I have officially declare this my statement and go-to piece. Yes, I got ahead of myself.

Reality is that this skirt is so versatile you can legitimately transition her from day to night.
It will go with just about anything in your closet. I guarantee it!
Day: I would pair her w/anyone of those tanks or t's and some sandals or wedges.
Then add some accessories or a colored lip and gooo!
Night: Pair w/ the printed crop halter, total perfection for a night out the girls or just a sexy dinner with your sugar boo. Strap on some heels, maybe colored lip and gooo!

Stay tuned to see how I will style this skirt.
Which will be as soon as the delivery man hands over my package!

swimsuit season

Swimsuit season is practically here. No I take that back, its like HERE. Which means those itty bitty bikinis will be coming out of the back of your bra and underwear drawer. That however will not be my case. I am investing a lot of my time trying to find a sexy one piece. YES a one piece! I am not ready to flaunt these luscious curves just yet. Lets just say I ate one to many blueberry donuts (guilty pleasure) without much discipline.

The one piece has been around longer than... idk, a long time.
Though it has come a long way from the real Bay Watch suits.
Just look at the images above, sex-y-ness.
Did your jaw drop?
I know what your thinking "but still what about those tan lines?"
Well that's a sacrifice I am willing to make. You should too.

Ok so down below are two choices Im really torn between! Help me-yea?

summer bag essentials

summer time

Days are getting hotter and hotter. Its not even summer yet people!
I worry what are summer days going to feel like.
Ugh the thought makes me sweat.
One of the benefits to HOT weather though is beach/pool/lake/river/lawn days.
I look forward to tan skin, maybe beats, and also night life and wait, drinks on the patio.
Oh and one more, summer fashion/trends.
I  have made it a personal goal to have an awesome summer bag.
With that said here is a little list of essentials that I must carry in it:
  1. hair taming pieces like a hat when my hair is really cray. headbands when I want to be real cute.
  2. eye shields/sunglasses- no brainer, right?
  3. since the sun can cause aging, WE have to protect our skin. sunscreen to the highest power (for body and face) and lip balm (lips need love too)
  4. big headphones are in.
  5. tanning oil to get that summer glow
  6. flops- I tend to get some that I dont care about because I'll either lose them or they'll get trashed.
  7. cool bag for wet stuff.

Of course I carry other stuff like food, mags, WATER!

What do you typically carry in your bag? Oh and what are your plans for summer?

on YOUR must have list.

choosing

Although not everyone is into the same things I'm into.
I would like to say metallic rhinestoned flat sandals and denim overalls should definitely be at the top of every girls must-have list.
Seriously, overalls are making a HUGE come back. It may be a little strange because you can think back to the days when you probably had 3. Then you decided to donate them  thinking they'll never come back. BIG mistake! They're back. I couldn't be more excited, btw.
Just think about how much easier it's going to be to get dressed in the morning (or later in the day).
Oh and the flats, please don't get me started on how amazingly Cinderella these are!
My mind spins at the thought of all the outfits I can create.
Or...
I can wear both of them at the same time.
 GENIUS!

How would you wear your overalls?

ring swag certified

RINGS

Forget armswag and parties it's all about the rings now!
Although the trend is danity jewelry, adding a stand out piece is always voguish.
Picture it- your hand with danity rings (maybe one on every finger) then BAM your statement piece!
I mean some of these rings dont even need friends they can steal the spotlight all by themselves. The Kelly Wearstler rings are the perfect example of attention stealers. When you wear one of her rings it can be worn alone or with some of the Gorjana pieces. Same deal with Dean Davidson.
But by any means if you like to wear 5 statement rings at once then please do.
It's all a matter of preference. Some of us like small get-togethers, others like a full blown gala.
Ultimately the idea is to create art on your fingers or throw a party.

I'd also like share that about ALL these rings are in my shopping cart. Eventually I'll move them into my wishlist but for now I like the idea that I'm closer to purchasing them.

Which one of these is your favorite?

Dressing for Love

dressing for love

Valentines Day, one of my favorite holidays is just around the corner.
This means us ladies (taken or single) are planning some kind of cool/romantic date with our boo or girlfriends. Other than spending hours contemplating where the perfect date will be, outfits take too much time too. One color I always wear (even if it's under garments) is RED. It is said that wearing red is good fortune for LOVE.
So WEAR RED!!
Trending major right now is sneakers, black and white color block, and colored leather.
Soooo being the cool and kind person that I am, I made this collage to ease some stress and keep you super trendy for love day. I mixed it up according to the activities.

The first look (colored leather jacket and grey shirt dress) would be perfect for an early breakfast date with your boo. Wear it with these cool Nike Air Max's to dress it down. Or if your your bold enough to wear heels to breakfast- just do it.

The second look (black and white color blocked fit) is for that cool girlfriends dinner. This look screams "Hi sexy single lady" Guaranteed  you'll turn heads!
It is sleek, sexy, chic, and totally on trend. Just throw on a leather jacket or blazer. Oh and a red lip will def take it to the next level.

The third and final look (black and white stripped blouse with red flow skirt) is more sexy romantic. Perfect for a candle light dinner.

P.S. pardon my absences been feeling a little uninspired (hate to admit, but true). Thank God I bumped into this amazing quote, just picked me up instantly. "God would not have given you your dreams if he didn't think you were capable of achieving them" -unknown.
