1-0-0th POST!!! Reaching this milestone means, in some sense, I'm actually staying committed.
It was only yesterday I was typing up my very first post (bottom photo with long hair). Crazy how much style can evolve! Look at me. I look like two different people. My very first outfit was atrocious, but obviously then I thought it was cute. Now you can call me the 'Latin Shirley Temple'. Night and day, if you ask me.
In all sincerity I was really thinking of deleting my first couple months of posting. Due to my night and day issues. But I said to myself, "NO! This blog is about my evolving style". So I felt obligated to keep them for two reasons: 1. look back and say WTH was I thinking (which happens often!) 2. see how much my style changes (what trends did I use? so I could use them again in 5 years).
I didn't make a big deal of my one year anniversary because I forgot. Shameful. Plus you could have a blog for a year and post only 20 times. So I figured 100 post is more appropriate, at least for me. There was a time in my blogging career/path I just felt like quitting. I actually stopped blogging for a while. My first experiences blogging were not fun. Posting was more a drag than pleasure and I was struggling. It seemed like everyone was doing the same thing, posting the same thing, wearing the same thing. I found myself trying to fit in. They were getting results. I was not. I compared myself a lot to other bloggers. My biggest weakness or comparison was I had no readers, they did and lots of them. Let me just say that is the most hardest habit to get out of. But slowly I started realizing I am not them nor will I ever be. I am going to write how I talk, dress how I normally dress (which is not in heels), and most importantly stay true to who I am.
What were/are your struggles as a blogger?
